In September 2025, we rolled out the Matchmaking AI — a smarter and more advanced way to connect you with the right projects. Unlike the old system that relied heavily on industry tags, Matchmaking AI reads your entire profile to understand your skills, experience, and achievements.
👉 This means that every detail of your sales career matters. Even smaller projects or niche experiences could help you get matched to the perfect opportunity.
1. Headline & Short Bio
Keep it clear and specific. Mention your sales focus (e.g. “B2B SaaS Sales Expert | Fluent in Dutch & English”).
Avoid vague titles like “Sales Professional”. Instead, highlight your industry expertise and regional strengths.
✅ Note: there's a 60 character limit, so keep it concise!
2. Language Skills
Use the built-in language tags to mark the languages you speak.
If your language is missing, let us know at [email protected] and we’ll add the tag.
You can also mention languages in your profile text to give context on fluency and how you’ve used them professionally.
3. Industry Expertise
Use the built-in industry tags and pick the top 3–5 industries you are strongest in.
Other career experience can be written in the profile text for AI to read and match.
4. Sales Experience & Track Record
Sales directors want to see real results. The AI prioritizes measurable achievements, and so do humans reading your profile.
Include:
Revenue generated (monthly, yearly, or per deal).
Growth achieved (% increase).
Deal sizes (e.g. “Closed €500k multi-year SaaS contract”).
Average sales cycle or deal length if relevant.
✅ Example: “Consistently generated €150,000–200,000 in monthly revenue, exceeding sales targets by 20%.”
5. Regional & Market Experience
Highlight the countries or regions where you’ve sold successfully.
Mention understanding of local business culture and existing networks.
✅ Example: “10+ years of B2B sales in Germany, Netherlands, and DACH region. Strong network in retail and e-commerce.”
6. Key Achievements
List 2–3 of your most impressive achievements in clear, punchy bullets.
Focus on results and impact, not just responsibilities.
✅ Example:
Consistently generated €150,000–200,000 in monthly revenue.
Closed largest deal in company history (€1.2M, 3-year SaaS license).
Built strategic partnerships in Germany that drove 40% revenue increase.
7. Write for Both AI and Humans
The AI reads natural language, so use full sentences and clear descriptions.
But remember: your profile is also read directly by sales directors. Balance clarity, detail, and professionalism.
✅ Instead of: “SaaS, Germany”
✅ Use: “Closed multi-year SaaS deals in Germany, focusing on enterprise retail clients.”
8. Keep Your Profile Updated
AI prioritizes up-to-date profiles.
If you close a new deal, enter a new market, or learn a new language, update your profile immediately.
✅ Final Checklist
Before you publish or update your profile, ask yourself:
Does it clearly show what I sell best?
Does it highlight languages and regions I can work in?
Does it include numbers that prove my sales success?
Would a sales director reading this think: “This person can deliver results for me”?
